It is important to note this when reviewing the responses. A "U" or "undecided" does not mean that the candidate is unsympathetic to our issues but requires more information. DEMILITARIZATION OF CYPRUS

Cypriot President Glafcos Clerides has on numerous occasions called for the complete demilitarization of Cyprus and the creation of an international security force on the island to ensure security for the 18 percent Turkish Cypriot minority and the 80 percent Greek Cypriot majority. This would involve the removal of all foreign troops from Cyprus.

In the 105th Congress, H.Con.Res. 81 and S.Con.Res 41 were overwhelmingly passed. The legislation, among other things, calls for the demilitarization of Cyprus stating that “all foreign troops should be withdrawn from the Republic of Cyprus.”

QUESTION 4: Do you support demilitarization of Cyprus as proposed by President Glafcos Clerides of Cyprus and the Congress in H.Con.Res. 81 and S.Con.Res. 41?
