GREEK AMERICAN AND ARMENIAN AMERICAN LEADERS EXPRESS CONCERN ABOUT JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS' SUPPORT FOR TURKEY MMOn November 20, 1998 leaders of four Greek American and one Armenian American organizations sent a letter (copy attached) to the American Jewish Committee, the American Jewish Congress, and the Anti-Defamation League in relation to an advertisement placed in the New York Times on November 8 by those organizations in support of Turkey.
MMThe letter expresses concern that this public statement of support for Turkey overlooks Turkey's past and present record of genocide and human rights abuses.
